Cheers guys! I almost feel bad for putting a shark mouth on the side, it's so predictable... but hey it looks good!
Hey Marc, that's a 'jaws of life' tool. And Leonid, don't worry mate, the armour has an active colour changing surface so he can be any colour he likes, he just happens to like being poo tan.
That is very cool, I love the design of the main gun...my only minor nitpick is it looks a teeny bit movement restricted in terms of turret traversal but maybe the intent is to have it walking side on to present a smaller target profile. Perhaps "next years model" could feed the head cannon through an inside turret system so it could whip round and fry targets directly behind itself...
Anyway great work as always, just watched "Keloid" and those robot designs looked astounding animated.
Don't worry Oliver, the belt feed is internally articulated and also lengthens as needed, feeding out of the torso mounted box. So it can spin it's head pretty quick. Plus don't forget it's a biped, so it can twist the whole body to really pull some g's.
But all that shit is just me rationalising a quick design. In actuality I feel the external ammo belt feed is necessary because without it most people wouldn't realise the head is a weapon. And belt feeds look cool. Well, I like 'em anyways!
Aaron, thanks for your reply! I think, maybe there should be some other animal. Without shark paitning, it would look totally like a rhino. Thanks to that little camera device and missile launchers.
Sweet! You previously had all these details there that added a great sense of scale to it, that's now covered up by the soft armour. One of the main reason I'm still much more drawn to the original is because of the neat details on the head. Maybe you could add some decals (which you are so good at) and details on the armour? Like fastening points and labels.
I love the grenade launcher, and the flare cans add a lot of interesting shapes to it. The feeling of the texture and weight and handling of the armour is amazing too! Thanks for making awesome art as always!
Looks like the shitty weather paid off big time!
ReplyDeleteGood numbers used as well :V
Awesome, the details really help sell it, nice shark face too!
ReplyDeleteNice variation. Not sure about the color, though.
ReplyDeleteVery very cool modification. What's the thing next to the detached hand?
ReplyDeleteCheers guys!
